About Geoff Boone and Kazbegi Inc.

I’ve managed more than $75 million a year in supplier spend, qualified factories across Asia, Europe, and Latin America, and helped launch products from first drawings to finished goods.

The work has covered textiles and sewn goods, consumer products, chemicals, injection-molded parts, packaging, and technical assemblies such as fiber-optic kits for data centers. My first job overseas was an internship in China, where I was the only American on a sales and marketing team.

I’m a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and served as a logistics NCO. Kazbegi Inc. is an SBA-certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business.

Why I started Kazbegi Inc.

Plenty of companies hit a sourcing problem that needs an experienced person for three months, not a new executive. Sourcing agents fill part of that gap, but many are paid by the order or by the factory. I wanted to offer hands-on work for a flat fee, with no stake in which supplier a client chooses.

How I work

I scope every project, do the supplier work, visit the factories, and write the recommendation myself. Before we start, we agree in writing on what I’ll handle and what stays with your engineers, quality team, and finance. If the job grows, we talk before the scope changes.

Why “Kazbegi”

Kazbegi is a mountain region in the country of Georgia, up in the Caucasus. I first went there with my brother in 2016, when a Georgian friend showed us around. The place stuck with me, and I named the business after it.
